Portraits in Courage is a collection of profiles of some of the most interesting people who have entered the portal of Yeshivat Ohr Somayach in Jerusalem. Although, the truth is that each student has an interesting story to tell.

Beginning with a handful of students in 1972 the Yeshiva today is now home to hundreds of talmidim and thousands of alumni. Their incredible stories of transformation and growth in the face of immense challenges and dilemmas shows a courage rarely seen in today's world. Within these covers you'll read about African tribesmen and Chinese hackers who had never met a Jew in their lives. You'll also meet Jews raised as Evangelicals who didn't know they were Jewish; Jews who knew but didn't care; and Jews who who thought they knew all they needed to know about being Jewish until they discovered that they didn't.
