Hacham Baruch The Life and Legacy of Hacham Baruch Ben-Haim Leader and Guardian of Syrian Jewry

He was the Rabbi’s Rabbi. He taught thousands and was a brilliant orator. A gaon in learning. A leader. A peacemaker. A builder who changed the face of an entire community. He was Hacham Baruch Ben-Haim, and this is his inspiring story.

It was on Brooklyn’s tree-lined Ocean Parkway that Hacham Baruch served the Syrian community in New York and New Jersey for more than half a century, becoming the acknowledged rabbinical voice of the community, turning it into an internationally recognized bastion of Torah and kindness.

With his immense storytelling talents, bestselling author Rabbi Nachman Seltzer brings to vivid life the challenges that Hacham Baruch faced, his struggles and ultimate triumphs, and most of all, his dedication to the Torah, to his community, and to all Am Yisrael.
