During the first World War, the Minkatcher Rebbe, R’ Chaim Elazer Shapira, zt”l, famed author of the legendary “Minchas Elazar”, instructed his beloved and prestigious student, R’ Shlomo Tzuker, to publish the “Mashmia Yeshua”, a collection of teachings that focus on the role and purpose of a Jew’s prayers during exile, and more specifically, when two nations find themselves at war with one another.

This book masterfully summarizes the Rebbe’s teachings on the purpose of praying for redemption and Moshiach, and whether Moshiach needs to arrive during a time of great trials, anguish, and war or during times of peace and tranquility amongst the nations of the world.

This edition also includes a Derasha given by the present-day Munkatcher Rebbe, in 1991, during the Gulf war.
